Q: i phone 5 will no longer allow me to edit and move my emails

i have owned my i phone 5 for 17 months now suddenly this morning it will not allow me to edit and move my emails - in Inbox i touch Edit in the top right hand corner it allows me to select the emails but the options that usually appear at the bottom of the screen are not there - the only option is to cancel - can any one offer any advice

close out of the mail app. double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.

then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
