I'm using Word and Powerpoint
Just wondering if there was an equivalent of Ctrl F6 as you have on Windows?
I've got 4 fingers scrolling down set so that I can see all open windows for that app...
Dont know why, I just dont like it... I always do four fingers up
Surely there must be a keyboard equivalent?

I don't know what Ctrl - F6 does. I've never used Windows.
However, you can set keyboard shortcuts for displaying all the windows of the current application ("Application Windows") in System Preferences > Mission Control.
Note that Apple functions for F-keys may take priority (Brightness, Volume, Play, etc) if you have those turned on in Sys Prefs > Keyboard.
For the most part, vendors who write software titles for both Mac and Windows will duplicate as many functions as they can. On the Mac side, Ctrl is normally done as Command. So see if Command+F6 does the same thing as the Windows counterpart.

I've tried, but it doesn't work on Mac (+ I did hold down Fn when pressing Ctrl)
There must be a keyboard shortcut for scrolling through open documents?

doesn't work. i have an external bluetooth keyboard
the tilda key for some reason is typed by hitting the letter n
(i have a british layout - is this why?)

Probably. I tested it in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Command+` worked as expected with the standard U.S. ANSI keyboard layout. Not sure what the British equivalent would be.
You may have better luck finding the answer at Microsoft's Mac forums.
i forgot to update this one...
the back tick referred to was on the bottom left next to the z
this is the same on the mac and the external keyboard
+ the command + back tick works nicely

Ah! You want to rotate between open documents. Typically, that's Command+` (the same key tilde ~ is on).
The backtick ` is left of the number 1 key on both the British and US keyboards. cmd-` cycles through windows in an app.
just became mac convert...lived in pc/ms world a long time...used ctrl F6 a lot and finally found my answer here. thanks.
