Apr 17, 2015 4:42 PM in response to Allan Eckertby i eye,Hi Allan, can you explain exactly what you mean by;
"In order to sell iPhones in Qatar, Apple has to defeat FaceTime within the iPhone and that can't be undone."
- Because FT does work in Qatar!
- and for me it works in every other country when my Qatar SIM card is in the phone!
- It just doesn't work with my 3UK SIM card in the phone - the APP VANISHES!
Are you saying that the FT APP is installed on the Qatar SIM card instead of on the phone or something???
I'm extremely frustrated, I specifically bought an unlocked A1524 iPhone 6+ model in Qatar (after extensive research and speaking with people in the Applestore in Houston and Regents Street, believing all features would work with a UK SIM card, as advertised. Have I been miss-sold? how can this bug be fixed? I require and want FaceTime when using a UK sim in my phone - not just when I have a Qatari SIM card in it - Please cam you suggest a work around? Thanks in advance.

Check your device's region of purchase for more information. http-//support.apple.com/kb/HT1937.
It is based on where the phone was purchased.
