How do I expand a text field in an OpenOffice form/template

I'm filling in a Bid Form/ Cost Breakdown and am able to type in all the text I need in a particular field.

But when I do a page preview or try to print , it only shows the text that fits into the original format field ....?

I need to expand a field to except more text .... and there's another field on the form that I'd like to decrease in size

cuz I don't need all that blank space ...?
