Trying to sync iBooks to save a pdf from my iPad to my Mac

I am trying to email a PDF saved in iBooks. I have tried to sync the iPad to my Mac and the PDFs wont sync. I need to email this PDF but when I click on the share button it only shows the print option not the email option. I have updated all devices. I have also tried to sync my iPhone to my ipad to see if I could get it off that way. I have not updated my iPhone. Can any one help?
