I have a calendar I am subscribed to on my mac under iCloud. I use the same iCloud account on my iphone, and when I looked at calendars, both have said calendar checked off. The items show on my mac, but not on my phone? I have tried to re-sync and delete and re-subscribe, and nothing seems to get them to show on my phone.

You might try subscribing on your phone instead. iCloud should push the subscription to your Mac.
This is what apple has to say about that...doesn't appear it works the other way around
to make a subscription push to other devices, you must first subscribe to the calendar on your Mac. If you subscribe to the calendar on your iOS device, iCloud won't push it to your other devices.
Must have changed. I subscribed to a calendar on my phone a year ago and it pushed to my Mac.
If you have it set up on your Mac and it won't push to your phone, you should be able to just subscribe to it on your phone as well. Go to Settings>Mail>Contacts>Calendars>Add Account>Other>Add Subscribed Calendar, enter the server information and tap Next.
Meant to mention that to get the server information, control click on the subscribed calendar on your Mac and select Get Info. Copy this address to the Server field on your phone, except change "webcal" to "http".
This does not work, it asked me for a user name and password. How do I get to the server field on my phone?
Looks like I had a typo in my earlier post. Did you go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>Other (at the bottom), then tap Add Subscribed Calendar (at the bottom)? You should see this:
Yes, that is the screen that asked for a user name and password. Here is the instructions from the website. I do see that it is not an .ics file, but, it adds to ical just fine?
Haven't seen that format before. I wonder if that's why it won't push to your phone using iCloud. You'll probably have to contact the calendar subscription owner and ask them how to add it to an iOS device.
Ok, thanks for trying to help me, I emailed them. I was able to download into iCal which is a temp fix, but that won't provide updates as they are made to the calendar from the provider.
