corrupt file

Why is my friend sometimes unable to open my email (Gmail)? Her anti-virus app says "corrupt file". We email each other frequently and sometimes there's a long list of older messages in the email. Could this be the problem? I haven't had any problem receiving her emails with the numerous messages attached.

Thank you for any help with this.

If you are trying to attach Pages, Numbers or Keynote documents to GMail using the latest versions of those apps in Mavericks, that won't work. Try archiving the files before attaching them to e-mail. Control-click (right-click) a file in the Finder and choose Compress "filename". This will create a file with the same name and a .zip extension on the end. Send that file. Note that you can also compress a group of files by selecting them all and control-clicking the group, or by putting them all in a folder and compressing that.

Thanks, Thomas. However, I did not attach any document to my email. This is what happened:

I sent an email to my friend (Windows user, and not a Gmail user either) and she responded by clicking on "Reply". When I receive her reply I would do the same (Click "Reply") and she would click Reply again and so on. After numerous times that one email now has more than 12 older replies(messages). When I send my last reply to her she could not open it. Her anti-virus app says "Corrupt File". I'm confused by the problem and wonder if it's my message or hers that is corrupt. I would like to know how to prevent further corrupt files.
