I changed my Apple ID , but the App Store won't recognize the change

I changed my Apple ID but the IOS App Store does not recognize the change , I followed the instructions on the iTunes website for changing Apple ID. Any one know if I missed a step?

iPad 2, iOS 7.1

Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID. Tap your old ID and sign out. Sign in with the new ID.
