lost photos

lost photos

I uploaded photos from an sd card which I put directly into my Mac. Saw that the photos had been imported properly so I deleted them from off my card. Had been looking through the photos (which were just uploaded) in iphoto and went and opened up finder and when I came back I couldn't find my photos anywhere!!! any ideas? it was around 500 photos that have seemed to "vanish"...I'm freaking out a little (ok a LOT!!!)

I think you're saying when you looked in iPhoto, you saw the photos. Then when you looked in Finder, you did not, and that is what caused your anxiety.

Are the photos still visible in iPhoto? If so, don't worry about finding them using Finder. Let iPhoto house them. You can always export them from iPhoto if required.
