Why dont Apple honour statutory rights?
We went to Apple Southland with an Iphone 4 that was a year out of contract but had started to develop numerous problems. The phone is in perfect cosmetic condition as it has been looked after. The manager Dani would not accept that the ACCC allows for replacements or repairs of items that are no longer performing as they should. She insisted two years was reasonable time: it is not for an item that is costly and well looked after. We had to pay $229 for a refurbished phone. The staff member then made me sign a document that was clearly printed for my husband to sign, again negating his legal rights. Anybody else had similar problems as I am launching a case with the ACCC as I believe Apple think they operate as their own entity without due respe
