Apr 18, 2014 11:23 PM in response to adrii_87by rkaufmann87,What version of iPhoto is installed, if you are not sure navigate to your Applications folder and select iPhoto, then type Command I (that's I as in I am happy) and this will tell you the version of iPhoto installed.
Next Rebuilding the iPhoto library, and see if this solves your issue.

Apr 19, 2014 12:04 AM in response to adrii_87by Terence Devlin,★HelpfulYou have iPhoto v9.2.1
YOu need iPhoto v9.5 to run on OS 10.9
So, go to the App Store and download the free update.
As always, before updating anything, back up first.
Oh, and you can get your photos and videos from your phone with Image Capture (in the Applications Folder)

Apr 19, 2014 5:35 AM in response to rkaufmann87by adrii_87,@rkaufmann87, I have version 9.2.1 installed of iPhoto.
If I rebuild the iPhoto library, will I lose everything? - Sorry, I am not great with Mac's, still getting the hang of it and learning how to use like a PC. -
Apr 19, 2014 5:38 AM in response to Terence Devlinby adrii_87,@Terence Devlin, thank you for this info, it is helpful. Also @Linc Davis....
I am unable to update my iPhoto through the updates. It says the update isnt available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.
When I got the computer, it had iPhoto on it already, so I am a tad confused about it being bought by a different user.
Is there another way around it? I am worried I lose all of my images - good thing is I still have them on my phone, though I do need to restore it.

Apr 19, 2014 6:16 AM in response to adrii_87by Linc Davis,Please test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Select the Purchases page in the App Store and locate the app(s) in your purchase history. If there's a button markedACCEPT on the right, click it.
Step 2
If you're trying to update iLife or iWork apps that were installed from a purchased DVD, or if you have a refurbished Mac bought directly from Apple, contact App Store customer service for a redemption code. You may be asked for the part number of the DVD.
Step 3
From the App Store menu bar, select
Store ▹ View My Account
Enter your Apple ID password at the prompt. At the lower right corner of the window that opens, click the Reset button. Close the window.
Step 4
If you have a used Mac, the bundled apps were linked to the original owner's Apple ID and can't be transferred to you. Reportedly, customer service has issued redemption codes to some second owners who asked, but it's not guaranteed.
Step 5
Delete the app(s) you want to update and reinstall them.
