2009 MacBook Pro with OS X 10.5.8, I want to update????Help?

I have a 2009 MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.5.8, what do I need to do to update my system? I thought I did all the updates over the years, but I dont know if I have to purchase the new Processing system? Need Help!!!! Thanks

You need to get Snow Loepard DVD media from Apple first to upgrade to Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks.

You may also have to replace your printer.
