Logic Remote and GarageBand

I have Logic Remote on my iPad mini, and I wanted to connect it to GarageBand on my MacBook Pro. It connected for about five seconds, and then the connection was lost. What should I do?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Have you upgraded to GarageBand 10.0? Logic Remote does not work with GarageBand '11.

This can happen if Multitasking Gestures (iPad only) or Control Center Access Within Apps is turned on. These settings are on by default:

  1. Turn off Multitasking Gestures in Settings > General.
  2. Turn off Access Within Apps in Settings > Control Center.
