Periodic freezing problem

Hey everyone,

So, I've got a problem here. I've got a mid 2012 13" Macbook Pro that suddenly started doing this weird thing where applications will freeze on me for 10-25 seconds, give me the spinning beach ball, and then resume back to normal. I ran hard drive tests and nothing was found, I've got plenty of hard drive space (688GB) left. I tried uninstalling my internet browser, that didn't help, I tried running the computer in safe mode and found nothing. Theres no real rhyme or reason to what freezes up, it just seems like anytime I'm using any amount of my CPU over a few % it stops and I ran tests and I constantly have 80+% of my CPU free. I'm lost here and was wondering if someone could help?
