Q: My iMac is running really slow, please help!

Hi

 

My mac is running really slow especially when going into finder and opening folders etc.

 

Details of my mac below:

I have looked at other posts and I have completed the repair disk permissions.  This made little change.

 

Activity monitor is not showing any unusual activity

 

Any help would be appreciated!!

    Your report does not show much information, I'd recommend doing an EtreCheck report and posting it and then we can look for some possible issues. To get the app click EtreCheck

    I see you installed the Genio malware, you need to uninstall it before you do anything else.

    Hi,

    I have tried to find Genio in aplications  to remove it but cannot find it.  Where else should I look?

    any help would be gratefully received!
