os x update
just took my computer out of storage and have OS X 10.5.8 how do I update the software? I have looked for the next version os x 10.6 and I cannot locate on apple website. can anyone help?
Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and check the processor.
If it's a PowerPC Mac, it's already running the newest OS it can.
If it's an Intel Mac, click here, install the DVD, and run Software Update.
If you upgrade the OS, back up the computer first.
