Start your Mac while holding the c key with its original OS X Install DVD inserted in its optical drive. At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red. If Disk Utility reports "The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK" in green then you can be reasonably (though not completely) assured your hard disk is in good working order.

If you actually used CleanMyMac to "remove junk files" or perform similar "cleaning" actions that such products claim to perform, you will need to reinstall OS X as well as any other software and files that may have been corrupted by having used it. It is also capable of corrupting iPhoto Libraries, which is a concern given the iPhoto CPU usage reported in your initial post. Merely uninstalling CleanMyMac is insufficient to undo the damage it is capable of inflicting upon a Mac.

Not usually of itself, but any torrent software can lead to dubious downloads of possibly altered applications; or installers with 'extras' included. Your gophoto.it & other Safari extensions are examples, but should only affect Safari, & only the user account that they are installed in. Was a Guest or new user any better, after logging out of the regular one ?.

Does Console app. show any messages at the time you get the slowdowns ?. Open it from an admin account, choose 'all messages', then use the 'clear display' button before doing something that causes problems.

Do you see the rainbows in every application - even after a restart & not opening Safari, say ?.

In any case, do remove those extensions from Safari - Preferences - Extensions

& also use Finder - Go menu - Go to Folder & paste in the following line, including the opening ~, then press the go button.

~/Library/LaunchAgents

The report you posted shows ' [not loaded] com.iskysoft.TunesOverWatchDemo.plist'

and you should find a com.iskysoft... item in the folder that opens, which seemingly isn't working, so may as well be removed.
