Q: I need a set of new install 10.3 disks. How do i get a copy?

I got an iBook G4 1.33GHZ 14' from a friend, that got it from a friend. Anyway they could not get it started, so they installed linux over the OS and that has not worked well. I'd like to have the OS X 10.3, so i can re install. Not knowing (new user) i bought a 10.1.4 disk from e-bay, and that did noy work. Any hints?

Phone AppleCare and order replacement original disks, or buy a retail 10.4 or 10.5 DVD.

If you go the retail route for the install disks for 10.4 or 10.5 be prepared to pay between $100 and $200 for them.

Which brings up the question is this really worth doing?
