Can't use gift card without the actual card?

I have 65.00 left from a gift card thatI received at Christmas, entered it and threw away since I already put in the code and had a balance but now it wants my card code to be able to redeem the rest of the card. How do I get to use my 65.00 that shows up when I open the store.
