I have a 7520 all in one printer with a memory card slot. How do I get pictures off the memory card to my desktop Mac
iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

I solved the problem and it had nothing to do with the printer but thanks.

what caused the probem was stupidity....I just bought the Mac Decktop. With my PC i would inject the SD card into the slot of the printer and on the computer it would ask questions. Here comes the stupidity or lack of knowledge.
I did not know the memory card went in the back of the actual desktop because with the PC I always put it in the printer.
If the instructions came with these new electronic machines I could have read them and figured it out. You have to download everything.
I am 60 yrs old and don't need to hear "read the printer instructions" It doesn't make me want to go onto the Apple communities to hear remarks like that. If people don't want to help us old people brought up on manual typewriters then maybe they shouldn't be in the system...Not impressed with Macbig....hope all your older relatives are whizes on the computer..
You may want to get yourself a card reader because your iMacs card reader is difficult to reach being at the back of the computer. If you do, connect it with a USB cable you can reach from the front. Then when you insert the card you can tell the machine what to do with the photos. Many people use iPhoto to manage their pictures and so when they insert the card it automatically launches iPhoto and then you can import the pictures and begin managing them with iPhoto.
BTW you can download the manuals and read them if you want, most computer manufactures stopped printing them because they found the majority of users never read them.
BTW I'm also 60 (well I will be in June) soyou aren't very old, you have a right to angry at the first poster and I don't blame you for that however the majority are here to help.

My apologies. We get a lot of young people who are to lazy to do thier own research and need a little (sarcastic) direction. BTW I'm 73 so I don't have any older relatives. And I've been whizzed on by the best.
