How can I add music to my ipod classic without deleting the music I have already downloaded?

Add content to the device the same way you always have, via iTunes on a computer.
iDevices sync with a single computer/library. Attempts to sync to a different computer/library will wipe the current content on the device and replace it with content from the new computer/library.
