Can't Sync music to my ipod?

hello, i just recently bought th ipod gen 5 and can not sync my music to the ipod.

it gets stuck and won't move at all.

any solutions to this that work?

What is listed in the starus bar in iTunes when it is Stuck?

Without that info:

iTunes for Windows XP: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues

iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues
