Where has the account balance gone?
No it is not next to my user name at the bottom of the featured page of iTunes, App Store or iBooks, yes I am signed in. Frustrating.

Have you tried signing out and then signing back in to see if it updates?
And by that, I mean go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and sign out there. Then sign back in.

Hi Gail. Thanks for the reply. Yes I have tried signing out and back in twice, even reset ipad2 while signed out, but still no account balance anywhere.

I'm not sure where else you can go to check it. Hate to do this, but you are probably going to want to contact iTunes Support:
I know what you mean, though. About a month ago, I could have sworn I had a balance left in my iTunes account. But - nothing there. I purchased another gift card for myself just to make sure the amount was showing - it did.
Then I went to my Purchase History and my emails, and discovered that I actually had depleted the previous amount.....kind of makes you crazy, though! 🙂
