Q: I can't install Maverick 10.9.2

I downloaded several times from apple store the free version of maverik, but I failed to install it.

Whenever I get a message like this:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/1olfpo5ffvxvic7/Captura%20de%20pantalla%202014-03-30%2 0a%20las%2012.33.06.png

And if I see the console messages, the installer tells me:

14/04/19 23:29:54 Install OS X Mavericks [573] Error loading / Applications / Install OS X Mavericks.app / Contents / PlugIns / IACoreStorage.IABundle / Contents / MacOS / IACoreStorage: dlopen (/ Applications / Install OS X Mavericks.app / Contents / PlugIns / IACoreStorage.IABundle / Contents / MacOS / IACoreStorage, 265): Library not loaded: / usr / lib / libcsfde.dylib

My mac Unibody 5.1 serial number W8******1AX, run Snow Leopard 10.6.8

How I can repair Library not loaded: / usr / lib / libcsfde.dylib, i've re installed Snow Leopard  from zero, and the message is the same.

Thanks in advance for any hint.

-Pablo

To install Mavericks, you need one of these Macs:

    • iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
    • MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
    • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later),
    • MacBook Pro (15-inch or 17-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later)
    • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
    • Mac mini (Early 2009 or later)
    • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
    • Xserve (Early 2009)

    Your Mac also needs:

    • OS X Mountain Lion, Lion, or Snow Leopard v10.6.8 already installed
    • 2 GB or more of memory
    • 8 GB or more of available space

Your  MacBook 5,1 should be support if you meet all the requirements

Try booting into Safe Boot mode and launch the installer from that environment.

    Hi Leroy!

All of requirements are ready, but as you can see, i can't install maverick, perhaps if i install from usb works..., the strange is the message:

    14/04/19 23:29:54 Install OS X Mavericks [573] Error loading / Applications / Install OS X Mavericks.app / Contents / PlugIns / IACoreStorage.IABundle / Contents / MacOS / IACoreStorage: dlopen (/ Applications / Install OS X Mavericks.app / Contents / PlugIns / IACoreStorage.IABundle / Contents / MacOS / IACoreStorage, 265): Library not loaded: / usr / lib / libcsfde.dylib

Very curious other user with the same problem but lion installer....,perhaps i need to load snow leopard dvd into reader...when i run maverick installer..

Just curious if you ever resolved this. The same thing just happened to me, and under very similar circumstances. My theory is that I left the snow leopard disk in the drive and when it rebooted, the install sequence defaulted to that, rather than the Lion rom from the app store. Testing that theory now...
