Could anybody tell me why my osx disk (snow leopard) keeps being ejected?
Thank you for your suggestions!

Not without your providing any details on the issue. It's one thing to provide suggestions, it's another to have to play 20 questions first.

Sorry Lanny, I'm suffering a TBI and seem to be forgetful.
My '07 MacBook Pro, OS X 10.4.11 was running so slowly that I figured I would try a fresh-install of my os as I had often performed with my PC, but that simply isn't the case...
Because I started a process that is irreversible (going from 10.5 to 10.4.11), I can perform no more necessary upgrades due to the fact my CD/DVD is no longer capable of reading from this drive.
At any rate, if this now makes better sense, is there any direction you can offer me? Thanks
If you have a MacBook Pro Mid/Late 2007, it shipped with 10.4. If you then updated to 10.5, you would have had to buy Leopard on a DVD.
Recognize that you've posted your question in the 10.6 section and your data category indicates 10.6.
And, it appears that your CD/DVD drive is either not functioning, or your original gray colored 10.4 and/or purchased 10.5 DVDs are unusable. Which one is it?
Sorry for the incorrect category posting...
Since reinstalling 10.4.11 Disk-1, my drive has been unable to read dvd's or cd's.
Are there any drivers that may have become corrupted? Thanks
*I have two-10.4.11 disks (I couldn't install disk-2), a single 10.5, disk, and a single 10.6.3
Is your 10.6 disk a full retail disk, or is it grey disk from another Mac?
