Ipad 2 IOS 4.3 - no upgrade possible

Hi, I have an iPad2 using IOS 4.3 - unfortunately it won't update.

I am using a Laptop on Windows7.

I tried to download and install IOS 7. At first it's backing up but then it literally takes DAYS, but nothing ever happens. Help please :-( Thx!
