iPhone kept restarting. What should I do?

I was using WhatsApp when iPhone suddenly restarts. iPhone suddenly says its in recovery mode. I was told to restore to factory settings and after i restored, iPhone restarted and I was given the choice to back up with itunes or icloud, neither options worked as iPhone restarts over and over again.
