iOS Devices will not connecting to iTunes, But iPod Classic will. Any thoughts?

I have an interesting thing going on with iTunes. When I try to connect my old second gen iPod, My iPhone 4S, or my 3rd Generation iPad, none of them show up in iTunes!? When I connect my olg 160Gb iPod Classic, it immediatly shows up, and my iTV is there all of the time. I have done all of the trouble shooting, 5 cables every USB port, ect. ect. All cables and all ports work with the iPod Classic, nothing works with iOS Devices!,

Mac is iMac OSX 10.6.8

iTunes is 11.1.5 is claimed to be up to date

iPad 3rd gen, is at iOS 7.0.3 (updated previously through wireless,

IPhone 4S is at 7.1, Updated wirelesly

Itunes shows back up files for all devices, but all are very old!
iPod Touch on 3/5/12,

iPhone 4S 3/2/12.

Ipad3, 8/26/12,
