Q: Why are my sends late?

For some reason my sends are late by a few milliseconds... quite noticeably.

For example im sending a vocal to a bus with a pitcher plugin on and want the two signals to mix together, but instead the pitched signal is quite late/behind the original.

Is there any reason for this?
