Unable to log into FaceTime + requests from Facetime and imagent

Hello everyone

I just tried to run facetime on my MacBook Air version 10.6.8 and in stead of going to the usual screen (with your recent calls, contacts,...), the program went to the login section. As soon as I tried to login I got 2 notes from facetime and imagent (I have never heard of this program before) asking the following: ‘Facetime/imagent wants to use your confidential information stored in “FaceTime”: ‘my email adress’ in your keychain. Do you want to allow access to this item?’ I can click on Details, the help question mark, always allow, deny or allow. If I click deny facetime is unable to launch and after a while I get the message (on the facetime window): Could not sign in, please check your network connection and try again. (My internet connection works just fine) As soon as this message appears, I get another similar request from imagent. If I wait for a while, leaving FaceTime as it is, another window pops up from imagent with the same message as described above. I have tried to re-download FaceTime and I have made a new account on FaceTime but the same thing happened all over again. I did not trust this message because this has never happened before.

Could anyone please inform me what to do?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello everyone

I would also like to add that since yesterday, as soon as I start my laptop, without even running any program I get the same message from imagent.

Any information and/or help would be really appreciated. If this happens to be a very common situation, please do tell.

Thanks a lot once again!
