no internet imessage problem

my phone number is associated with imessage.

and i dont have cellular network ON all the time to save battery.

so, everytime someone, who has an iphone with internet ON, try to SMS me (it will be sent to my phones number, therefore, through imessage)

and i dont receive it! until i get to a wifi place.

the only fix i see is:

the person sending the SMS must turn OFF their internet.

then the iphone will change from imessage to sms.

or

if i could just change the imessage receiver in settings to just email.

meaning: untick the greyed out ticked phone number (wich i can not do)

this would mean that, when a person sends a text to my phone number, it would be through SMS.

if they sent a text to my email, it would be through imessage.

and, when they would write my name on the "send to" in messages, only my email would be blue, indicating the it would go through imessage.

i think i found a fix for it.

log out from imessage and facetime on all your devices.

then, turn your iphone off.

wait some minutes, then turn it back on.

it will ask to unblock SIM card, say NO.

now you are just on WIFI

turn imessage ON

and insert your apple id

this should put your imessage on through your email

go back to original settings panel

turn on airplane mode, then back off

it will ask to unblock SIM card, unblock it.

somewhere a note will appear saying something like:

$ to carrier network may apply - referring to imessage

say CANCEL

now, you should have your imessage running on email.

now my problem is:

since my phone number is already inserted in apple database, and it stays there for 30 days,

other people can still see my number in blue, meaning they will send imessages to my phone number by default.

the big problem is, my imessage settings are now only for email, so i will not receive them.

even though in the senders imessage it says "delivered".

and i get nothing.

apple please link email and phone number in apple id, so we dont have messages separated to the same person.

and please dont keep our phone number in your servers for 30 days. just link it in each user apple id.
