Apple ID for iPhone used by a child.

I've added a second iPhone to my account and it will be used by my son. He is too young to create an Apple ID (based on his date of birth, when we were trying to create an Apple ID so we/hehe can put apps on his phone.) Do I just use my Apple ID for this?
