I can't eject my ipod from itunes because it states that it contains files in use by another application

When I try to eject my ipod from itunes it states that it can not eject because certain files are in use by another application. Itunes won't let me restore for the same reason.

iPod nano (6th generation), iOS 7.0.6

You need to set your antivirus/antispyware to ignore iPods.

Just in case, try to close all the other applications you're using. Maybe this could help

You are referring to applications on their computer? They can save time and try the antivirus/antispyware first.
