Applescript apps and other macs

Okay, so I had a simple question about making applescript and sharing them with others. I had made an app on my 2011 mini to move files to a specific folder and it works completely fine on my computer. I went to go use it on a friends brand new mac pro which has the same OS version but his throws an Apple runtime error when trying to execute the program. Any suggestions or comments on what could be the problem.
