Photo stream sharing albums as backup?

Can you use your photo stream sharing albums as a cloud backup? I understand the daily and monthly limits of Photo Stream SHaring as described here:

So according to the above, I could create 100 shared steams (albums) with 10000 photos in them per day.

And I could keep them there, yes?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

guess - but it is a poor backup of lower quality photos and only of that - not of your iPhoto library

If your photos (and other files) have any value to you You need a local hard drive running Time Machine to backup to it - not some half way kludge
