So will emails still come through after I turn off airplane mode?
If I put on airplane mode and I got an email during that, would it still come through after I turned off airplane mode?

If you turn off Airplane Mode yes, but if you are turning it on then no.
Once you turn it off, it will reconnect with the server and bring any new emails down to your device.
