Delete all photo's from iPhone 5 IOS 7.1

I believe they removed the DELETE ALL because they are not interrested on you deleting your photos and freeing up space ... they want you to BUY iCloud space. Thats trully the reason why all of these options have been removed. Last year Photos, had the option ÏMPORT AND DELETE FROM DEVICE'... even this option is no longer available.

I am trying to make sure all my photos are uploaded to icloud and want to remove the photos from my device (to save space). That's not possible now? I tried deleting some photos from my device (thinking they were backed up on the cloud), and I THINK it permanently deleted them from cloud too. Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated!
