How exaxtly can i report stolen ipad?

I have had my ipad stolen and I thought I had set up find my ipad... apparently its not as i went on my login and it was not coming up.

I want to know how to block or lock my ipad without having find my ipad? Also, its a wifi only one so not sure if it would have been much use anyway...

One user suggested login into the support page, and reporting it missing, but could not find any links for this

I dont understand as I have synced music from my account to this device, but could not find it on my icloud???

seems strange but maybe they have already wiped it and sold it on 😟 😟

You can't.

Apple doesn't keep records of stolen or lost devices.

Music you have purchased from iTunes will be in your iTunes account on your computer, and in iTunes Match if you subscribe to iTunes Match. iCloud does not store your music.

If you hadn't protected it with a passcode, or Find my iPad, then that is quite possible.

If the iPad was running iOS 7, the thief/finder will not ever be able to use it.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.

Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

If you don't know your lost/stolen iPad's serial number, use the instructions below. The S/N is also on the iPad's box.

Check the serial number (located on back/bottom) in this lost/stolen iPad database. However, most owners are not aware of this database and don’t enter the serial number.

Also do a search, using the serial number, on your local Craig’s List. Some users list the serial number of a stolen iPad to thwart the sale of a stolen device.
