Q: Issues with Update Safari 7.0.3 in App Store

After having updated Safari 7.0.3, the app store keeps showing "1 Update Available" and the little red "1" above the app store icon remains; even though I have already installed the update. How can I get rid of this?

    Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

     

    Type or copy paste the following:

     

    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.appstore/Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore

     

    Click Go then move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.

     

     

    Restart your Mac then see if that update still shows up.
