My ipod touch 4G will not accept the password for my apple id.

My ipod touch 4G will not accept the password for my apple id. It says the password is incorrect, but it is correct. This is affecting the iTunes store, iMessage and Facetime.

OK, so you've reset the password, and it still does not accept. Well the only reason i can think why it would not work is because you're not entering the right one in. There is no reason itunes should keep rejecting your password, unless you're typing in the wrong one. Try to reset the password one more time, enter the password ON THE COMPUTER, and then tell us if it still doesn't work. Make sure you write your password down in the future, and type it in correctly. If the password works on the computer, that means something is wrong with your touch, not your password. If it works on the computer, try typing it in again on the touch, and if it still doesn't work on the touch, try first restarting your device, then if that still doesn't work, restoring it to fact. Defaults. Also, make sure you have a stable wi-fi connection, as this is required for any itunes password to be used for its intents. Hope I helped, ~Samuel
