After upgrading to OS X 10.6.8 I can no longer open .mov files. I do not have FCP. Do I have options?

I found this

I cannot test it, I don't have a Flip camera.
Sorry wrong post, I will try again.
What application did you make your mov files with and what did you view them with in 10.5?
I'm not sure about the application. The video was originally edited in Avid Newscutter. It is now a QuickTime file with Linear PCM, AFdv, Timecode codecs, which are evidently not supported in the Snow Leopard Quicktime. In 10.5 I was able to open it in Quicktime.
I know nothing about that application but you could try VLC and check if that will play the files.
