The Surface and Surface 2 are running Windows RT.
Only the Surface Pro is running the full version of Windows 8 and can have iTunes installed.
So is it impossible to install iTunes on a Surface Pro 2 tablet?
No, please read the thread again. It is possible to install iTunes on a Surface Pro or Pro 2. It is NOT possible to install iTunes on a Surface RT tablet.
