The status menu on my mac book air is not showing...how can I fix that? Please help! Thank u!

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Try:

  1. restart your mac
  2. repair permissions with Disk Utility
  3. Boot into your recovery partition (restart, hold down ⌘R until you see the Apple logo), and use Disk Utility to repair your hard drive. OS X: About OS X Recovery
  4. If that doesn't work, and you still can't get the battery status to work, I'd reinstall Mavericks over your current installation. Sort of a blunt tool but it will probably work.
