Hello everybody,

I installed Maverics on my MacBook Pro 2009 and now I can not activate my FaceTime with my Apple ID. My Apple ID is stil a @me.com adress. Now I tried to chance my primary Apple ID E-Mail adress but this is not possible. There is no button I can click to work on my primary E-Mailadress. I can only add some adresses. I added the @icloud.com adresse but when I tried to lock into FaceTime with this adress it is also not working. No error apears. I can youse FaceTime still with my I-Phone (connected to the @me.com Apple ID)

Can someone help me??

Thanks and regards,

Miriam

    Hello MTscho,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

For more information, take a look at:

Apple ID: Changing your Apple ID

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5621

To change your Apple ID, follow these steps:

    1. Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com), click "Manage your Apple ID", and sign in.
    2. If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID. If you are unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the guidelines for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.
    3. In the "Apple ID and Primary Email Address section," click Edit.

Apple ID: What to do after you change your Apple ID

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5796

OS X Mountain Lion and later:

    1. Open the FaceTime app.
    2. Select FaceTime > Preferences.
      • If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in.
      • If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID, select your previous Apple ID, click Sign Out, then click Sign Out again when asked to confirm. Enter your current Apple ID to sign in.

    Have a nice day,

    Mario

The problem is: in the "Apple ID and Primary Adress section" there is still no Edit Button. Only in the "Alternate E-Mail-Adress" and "Your Name" is a Edit Button.
