How do I mass delete emails?

Hey saster,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines how to select multiple messages for deletion:
Work with multiple messages - iPhone

Delete, move, or mark multiple messages. While viewing a list of messages, tap Edit. Select some messages, then choose an action. If you make a mistake, shake iPhone immediately to undo.
Thanks,
Matt M.
This doesn't work on iPads. Any ideas?
Hi Apple,
There has to be a way to mass delete emails. Mine are now taking up all the storage space I have on both my i
phone 5 and my iPad 3. I'm already familiar with how the Edit function works in my Apple email account, but it would take me a year to select each individual email, one at a time, and delete them. And the only alternative solution I've seen involves deleting your entire inbox. I don't want to do that; I want to delete everything older than, say, 3 months.
Please help!!
Watch this you tube video very easy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKa-KFjUIGE
Have to say it - I could do this on my android phone nice and easy. It is INCREDIBLE my iphone cannot without some crlt-alt-delete sort of buttong combo that has to be redone at times.
