Hi danyon,
I have tried it all and still haven't gotten the same quality as watching slideshow through iPhoto...
You can try a few things, go ahead and export your slideshow to iDVD (Share > Send to iDVD), the only thing I would suggest is to Save as Disk Image after setting up you DVD. You can burn your disk image through disk utility at 1x speed. It will take longer but I have found the finished product much improved versus using the burn option in iDVD. You can also try using
Verbatum DVD disks, these are of high quality and many Mac users have been happy with results. You can also consider using
Roxio Toast as your burning App... You just have to keep experimenting till you get the right combo...
Good luck, Rick
