How can I export Slideshow with Ken Burns in Beautiful quality?

When I look at my slideshows with ken burns effect in iPhoto it looks so beautiful but when I export it to quicktime the quality is bad. How can I export the slideshow with Ken Burns effect to DVD and have excatly the same beautiful quality as inside iPhoto???

Hi danyon,

I have tried it all and still haven't gotten the same quality as watching slideshow through iPhoto...

You can try a few things, go ahead and export your slideshow to iDVD (Share > Send to iDVD), the only thing I would suggest is to Save as Disk Image after setting up you DVD. You can burn your disk image through disk utility at 1x speed. It will take longer but I have found the finished product much improved versus using the burn option in iDVD. You can also try using Verbatum DVD disks, these are of high quality and many Mac users have been happy with results. You can also consider using Roxio Toast as your burning App... You just have to keep experimenting till you get the right combo...

Good luck, Rick

danyon:

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Part of the problem is that in the iPhoto slideshow the images are shown with their original pixels, square, and when converted to Quicktime the pixels are converted to rectangular pixels. iMovie does the same thing. Here are two threads creating slideshows for iDVD that may have some tips that will help:
