dual boot 10.3 & 10.4 (and maybe linux too!)
i'm thinking i'll keep the 10.3 partion small (3-5 Gig) and use the Tiger partition as the main area of the disc. any prblems with that?

It is for both virtual memory, and logfiles, and the
need to avoid data writing and rewriting in so small
a space from slowing down the machine.

There is. Those disks are licensed only for the
machines they came with. And evidence exists that
certain models will install different drivers which
could potentially yield kernel panics like those in
my FAQ:
