Yamaha DM1000 not connecting properly

Hola all!

I have Logic 10 on Mountain Lion. I have a Yamaha DM1000 that I use (on a different start-up drive) with ProTools 8HD on 10.6.8

Here's the issue:

Audio/Midi setup see the DM1000, but the ports section can't be edited.

I set an instrument to record, and the click starts cutting through the sound - i.e. I have an organ, it starts pulsing with the click. I set control surfaces to "bypass" and all is well.

Do any of you have experience of setting up the DM1000 to work with Logic X? I can leave it at "Bypass" - but that seems (like so many computer issues) a bit of a waste of the potential.

All thoughts greatly appreciated.
