red lines on my photo during editing

First off, have you tried turning off Highlight Hot and Cold areas if that is on (View/Highlight Hot and Cold)? Anything shiny could have red on it.

When I am editing a photo, there are red lines or marks on my photo that change while editing.

Do you mean, while using the brushes?

You may have enabled color overlays to show the brush strokes. Disable it in the HUD - in the menu below the gears-icon.
