If I lost my phone, can I use my computer to retrieve/send texts?

If you didnt put a passcode on the phone then yes

Oh and they have access to all the stuff stored on you're phone

You use a passcode, right?

If you used iMessage, then no, there is no computer application to recieve those text. If its regular SMS, thats also a no.

- No, you can't send texts from your phone # except by using your phone.

- There is no app that can read sent texts to your phone. You will need your phone, or another phone with your # on a new SIM card.

- You should use Find My Phone at www.icloud.com to try to find your device. You can send a message to it asking the finder to call you, and deactivate/wipe it remotely. Also call your carrier to cxl the service if you cannot find the phone on line.

If the phone is off or does not have connection to the internet, then there is nothing you can do to lock it or find its location

That would be a bad move on his part if he didnt.

The only way to have access to the phone is if they restore it.

If the phone is turned on and you have lost mode (and a connection to the internet on the phone) you wil be able to locate it.

If you decide to shut off the service to the phone it will be much harder to locate unless the phone is in range of open wifi
